Accessibility

Everyone should be able to help.

We are building this website toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA so visitors can understand the mission and use its essential paths across a range of devices and assistive technologies.

What we have designed for

• Keyboard-accessible navigation and clearly visible focus.
• Semantic headings, landmarks, links, and controls.
• Readable contrast, responsive reflow, and large touch targets.
• Reduced motion preferences and no autoplay media.
• Plain language and no information conveyed by color alone.

How we check, and what we found

On August 13, 2026 every public page was tested with axe-core, an automated accessibility checker, including the donation form with a monthly gift selected. That test currently reports no violations. It found fifteen colour-contrast failures when it was first run, and those were fixed the same day rather than left on a list.

Automated testing catches perhaps a third of real barriers, so we do not claim this site is fully conformant on the strength of a passing scan. If you hit something that does not work, telling us is the fastest way it gets fixed.

Ongoing work

Future forms, donation processor screens, event embeds, and uploaded documents must be tested as they are connected. Third-party services will be selected and configured with accessibility in mind.

Feedback

A verified feedback email and response process will be published before launch. If an accessibility barrier is reported, the team will provide the same information or service through an alternative method while addressing the issue.
